Ibanez introduces a true colossus in terms of both the tone and size. New M8M Meshuggah signature model reinforces the signature series.
After eight long years of waiting, the beast is finally here. Eight years ago Meshuggah`s guitarists acquired their guitars built by Ibanez custom shop. Ever since, legions of guitarists have requested the signature model, and now it is granted. It comes in the shape of M8M Meshuggah, the eight-string monster. This juggernaut has a solid, double cutaway body made of alder and five piece maple/bubinga neck. Body and neck are connected with a neck-through joint. Custom M8M Lundgren humbucker in the bridge drives the sound unlike anything ever before. 24 6100-sized frets feature no inlays and the rosewood fingerboard features 2.16 inches at the nut. The bridge is a fixed variant of the Edge III tremolo. For all eight strings to have a tight sound, scale is stretched to unbelievable 29-2/5 inches.
