Lean, mean and ready to conguer the globe, new RGIT axes from Ibanez bring top league quality and razor-sharp bite in a simple and beautiful package.
Ibanez Iron Label is the hottest thing on the heavy metal scene since the guitar distortion. A series which tears apart the old and sets new standards for design, construction and play quality. This is metal-only range of the iconic RG, Artist and S guitars and it`s bringing back the heavy into heavy metal. This time around, Ibanez has prepared for us a pair of mighty RGs. One with six strings and one with seven. RGIT20FE and RGIT27Fe are their names. They`re both available only in Sapphire Blue Flat and both have underwent the EMG treatment in the electronics department.
Ibanez RGIT20Fe is a solid and double-cut guitar with neck-through construction. Wings of it`s body are made of ash, while the center is made of seven-piece maple and walnut neck. This type of construction, in conjunction with the mighty EMG 81 and 60 pickups, guarantees huge sustain and a vicious bite. To keep things simple, Ibanez has opted for a master volume, a kill-switch and a three-position blade switch. Behind the pickups, there`s a hardtail Gibraltar II bridge with six saddles and string-through-body construction. For more info, check the RGIT20FE detail page on our site, or on the official Ibanez page.
Ibanez RGIT27Fe is the seven-stringed version of the previously reviewed RGIT20FE. It comes with a solid and double-cut body with neck-through construction. Ash wings are glued onto the maple/walnut neck to create a light-weight guitar with immense tone and sustain. Instead of the standard 81/60 combo, RGIT27FE is fit with a pair of EMG 707 humbuckers. Controls unit is the same as on the RGIT20 model. For more info on this marvelous seven-stringer, check the RGIT27FE detail page on our site, or on the official Ibanez page.
