A pair of high quality Reverend lefties hit the stage this summer. A mix of vintage styling and versatile tone with traditional Reverend build quality.
On the big and vast American market, a lot of brands can survive and make it through the year, but only the selected ones can stand out from the crowd. It takes originality, personality, it takes substance to be more than just another clone. Reverend is, most certainly, one of the chosen few. Young and original brand, Reverend is less than two decades in the business, but is already rubbing shoulders with the legends. For the summer of 2014, Reverend has prepared a double left-handed attack. It comes in the form of the Double Agent and Manta Ray 290 six stringers.
Reverend Double Agent is a solid and double-cut six-stringer with bolt-on neck construction, flat top korina body with Jazzmaster-like design, 25-1/2” scale, active Reverend electronics (humbucker in the bridge and a P90 in the neck), awesome Wilkinson trem bridge with string-through construction, Reverend tuners and a 22-fret maple fingerboard. Reverend Manta Ray 290 is a different kind of beast. Instead of a solid body, it has a semi-hollow one. Again, it is made of solid korina, but with the added solid two-piece maple cap on top. Two P-90 pickups, tune-o-matic/stoptail bridge, set in korina neck and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard are also featured on this model.
