A brand new affordable Solo-6 model introduced by Schecter. It comes with a stripped down styling and versatile tone.
Schecter`s Solo models are among the most popular and most sought after single-cuts based on the legendary Les Paul model. Their main strengths are the stunning craftsmanship quality, strong and versatile tone and amazing playability (all of the middle, upper middle and high class Solo models have ultra access cutaway and thin neck profiles). Also, Schecter is known for the fantastic quality of the tonewoods used in their production facilities both in USA and overseas. Only the top quality mahogany, alder, rosewood, maple, ebony and korina are used. For 2014, Special Editions and Solo series are being reinforced with a very interesting six-stringer, Solo-6 Special. It is an affordable single-cut guitar with simple design and construction and super versatile tone. High quality construction and Schecter`s traditional playability are among the strongest points of this vintage-styled six-stringer. The MSRP for this beauty is set at $699.
Schecter Solo-6 Special is a solid and single-cut guitar with vintage styling and design. It`s entire body and neck are made of korina, a wood very similar to the popular mahogany. Korina was Gibson`s main tonewood in the early stages of the Les Paul production. It quickly disappeared when cheaper mahogany was introduced. Solo-6 Special is available in Korina Yellow color with glossy finish and chrome-plated hardware. Top of the body is equipped with a one-piece wrap around bridge with chrome plating and a pair of Seymour Duncan minibuckers. Two volume knobs, one tone (push/pull switch) and a three-way toggle pickup selector comprise the controls. Set in korina neck is fit with a thin C contour in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top.
