Schecter and Nikki Sixx introduce the new signature model for the legendary Motley Crue bass player. It`s cool, lean, mean killing machine.
Nikki Sixx was and still is one of the most legendary bad boys of rock `n` roll music. Strong attitude, talent for trouble and supreme bass skills have put Nikki among the icons of rock. As part of the cult band of the '80s glam scene, the Motley Crue, Nikki has managed to steer his career with success. He is a long time Schecter fan and has been playing Schecter`s models for a number of years and Schecter has decided to pay him back with a brand new signature model named Nikki Sixx Schecter Bass. It is a four-string monster with full 34" scale and satin black color scheme. It also has supreme tone, provided by EMG`s J/P combo of active pickups. These bad boys will never run out of steam. Bridge section on this black-clad four-stringer is plated in black chrome and is available in two variants, top load and string-through.
Schecter Nikki Sixx Schecter Bass is a solid-bodied bass with Thunderbird-like contours. It has wings made of mahogany, which are attached to the neck in the center. Neck-through-body construction allows this bass to have extra power and sustain. Body is flat on the top and has minimal decorations. There`s only a black pickguard installed on the top. As far as the color palette goes, this one has black satin option as it`s only one. Neck is made of several maple and walnut laminates and it runs through the body. Not only tone-wise, this concept is also construction-wise beneficial. Neck sports the custom contour in the back and it`s topped with a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. 34" scale, Grover tuners and white dot inlays on the frets complete the specs list.
