PRS brings two Angelus models and a Cody Kilby Signature model for the upcoming 2012 season. These were all shown at NAMM 2012.
Though not as big as electric guitar department, acoustic division of PRS is in no way less significant, or lacking the quality. They produce an outstanding array of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars with exclusive options and supreme playability. PRS Acoustics bring us three new models for 2012 and their names are: SE Angelus Standard, SE Angelus Custom and Cody Kilby Private Stock. All three deliver awesome tones and craftsmanship with PRS signature playing experience.
PRS Cody Kilby Private Stock model comes without a cutaway and is made of cocobolo back and sides and Adirondack spruce top. The body is complemented with a mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. Hardware on this model is made by PRS. They also provide the pickup system with a three-band equalizer. 21 frets are adorned with a set of bird position inlays. Golden hardware, 1.81" wide bone nut and Robson hand machined tuners wrap the specs for this model. For more info check Cody Kilby Private Stock detail page on our site or on PRS web page.
PRS SE Angelus Standard and PRS SE Angelus Custom are basically the same model, and differ in only few appointments. Standard has solid mahogany back and sides, while the Custom boasts rosewood in those areas. Both have solid spruce tops. PRS pickup systems are featured on both models, mahogany necks with wide contours, as well. Both models have 20 frets with bird inlays. Another difference comes in bridge and fingerboard material options. Standard has a rosewood fingerboard and rosewood bridge, while Custom features ebony fingerboard with ebony bridge.
