PRS Guitars introduce limited edition of David Grissom`s DGT model. It comes with all-mahogany body construction instead of mahogany-maple.
David Grissom signature model has a long and successful career in Paul Reed Smith catalog. It`s one of the popular models from signature series. For the season fall 2012 PRS and David came up with a limited edition of his signature DGT. It is basically the same model, but it has an all-mahogany body. Rest is the same, but it feels like it`s a different guitar, for the all mahogany body gives it`s own personality to the tone. This DGT Standard hits the home run for all mahogany lovers out there, but it`s available in small quantities, so the players considering the purchase must be quick.
Paul Reed Smith DGT Standard is a solid-bodied double cut guitar with body made entirely of mahogany. This body is then combined with mahogany neck to lay the foundations for a thick and strong tone. With DGT treble and DGT bass pickups, sound takes on even greater scale. Master tone knob in the controls section has push/pull switch installed which splits the coils on both pickups. This gives even more tonal options to these already versatile pickups. Tremolo bridge is installed behind the pickups.
