Schecter Guitars maintains a vast catalog with predominantly metal-oriented electric guitar section. This time, it`s four aces, four strikingly beautiful guitars with hell-raising tones that got introduced. Blackjack SLS series has got the lion`s share with three models: Special Edition Blackjack SLS Avenger FR-S, Blackjack SLS V-7 Special Edition and Blackjack SLS V-7 FR Special Edition. C-1 series is updated with one model, C-1 FR Special Edition. With price tags well over $1,000 Schecter aims at serious musicians and players who want a quality instrument, which can serve them for years.
Schecter Special Edition Blackjack SLS Avenger FR-S is a double cutaway model with contour same as other Avengers and Syn Signature models. Double cut and solid, this body is made of mahogany. It has a characteristic cared top and black binding. Seymour Duncan Full Shred pickup is in the bridge with Sustainiac following in the neck. Master volume, master tone, three-way toggle pickup switch and two mini-switches for the Sustainiac. Neck is made of three pieces of maple and it`s topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard. Schecter Blackjack SLS V-7 Special Edition is the first of two V models introduced. It comes with fixed bridge construction and seven strings. Mahogany body is V-contoured and equipped with ultra access, which is standard for expensive Schecters. One-piece bridge section has tune-o-matic bridge and strings run through the body. Seymour Duncan Active Blackouts are installed in the pickups compartment. Tone/volume/volume/three-way toggle is the configuration of the controls unit. Three-piece maple neck is set-in and topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard. Schecter tuners and 26-1/2" scale complete the specs list. The MSRP is set at $1,299. Schecter Blackjack SLS V-7 FR Special Edition is the Floyd Rose-equipped variant of the previously mentioned fixed bridge-V and these two share a vast majority of the features. Solid mahogany body is bound in black and finished in satin. Floyd Rose 1000 double locking tremolo system is installed in bridge compartment and it`s accompanied by Seymour Duncan Active Blackout pickups. These pups are specially made for seven-stringers. Tone/volume/volume/3-way toggle is the combination of the controls unit. Maple neck is set-in and made of three pieces of wood. It`s topped with an ebony fingerboard with 24 extra jumbo frets. Schecter C-1 FR Special Edition is the fourth and final model introduced in this article. It belongs to the C-1 series and it comes with a solid mahogany body in combination with set-in mahogany neck. This combination of wood ensures tremendous strength, sustain and brutal low end. Floyd Rose 1000 double locking tremolo system is installed on this model to offer the ultimate stability. Seymour Duncan Invaders in the bridge and neck positions redefine the passive pickups department with an unheard-of level of strength and aggression. Through push/pull system, they can be split for some awesome displays of versatility. Mahogany neck is equipped with ultra access and it`s topped with ebony fingerboard. 24 extra jumbo frets are marked with a custom 12th fret inlay.
