Gibson USA unveils the mesmerizing Sully Erna signature Les Paul Studio guitar. It comes with a characteristic ebony finish.
Gibson`s USA division has never had a stronger signature artist lineup in it`s history. Some of the most talented and influential guitar players are it`s members. Zakk Wylde, Ace Frehley, Slash, Joe Perry and many others. The most recent member to join the tribe is Sully Erna of Godsmack. This versatile frontman-multi instrumentalist has been forming into one of the leading people of contemporary rock and metal scene in last fifteen years. Officially a singer of Godsmack, Sully also performs some of the guitar and drum duties on both studio records and live shows. Besides the Godsmack, Erna has started a solo project a few years ago. His characteristic voice, unique energy and passion for heavy music have made him one of the most recognizable people on the scene. His longlasting love for Gibson`s guitars did not go unnoticed and for 2013, Gibson USA has joined forces with Sully to create one of the most powerful and affordable signatures in it`s history, the Sully Erna Les Paul Studio.
Gibson USA Sully Erna Les Paul Studio is a modern LP guitar with modern construction and design. Mahogany-made body of this six-string rocker is equipped with weight relief chambers and topped with a carved maple cap. Neck on this model is also made of mahogany, but instead of the modern asymmetrical contour, it features the classic 1950s rounded profile. It`s set in and it features the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Medium jumbo-sized frets are marked with dot inlays. Grover tuners are installed on the headstock. Black tune-o-matic bridge is backed up by a stoptail bar, which is also painted black. In it`s front, there`s a '57 Classic Plus humbucker in the bridge position.
