Peavey updates the catalog with a series dedicated to super heroes such as Thor, Iron Man, Spider-man and Wolverine. Three electric guitars and one acoustic make up the series lineup.
Peavey and Marvel joined forces to create a line of guitars inspired by Marvel`s super heroes. This series is primarily aimed at younger players and fans of Marvel`s heroes. Thor, Wolverine, Spider-man, Iron Man, Ghost Rider, Hulk, Captain America, Deadpool and X-Men are featured on these models. The series is located in the budget-friendly zone of the market with prices varying from $59.99 for the acoustic model, to $599.99 for the Predator electric guitar. The models are: 3/4 Guitar, Rockmaster and Predator in electrics department, and 1/2 Guitar in acoustics section. All of these models come in black color with super hero graphics printed on the top.
Peavey Marvel 3/4 Guitar is a model made for the youngest fans among guitar players. They can choose from six graphics: Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, Spider-man, Wolverine and Thor. For the MSRP of $139.99 players will get a solid, double cutaway body made of basswood, hardtail bridge with chrome plating and string-through-body construction and bridge humbucking pickup with volume and tone knobs. As for the neck, it is made of maple and is bolted to the body. It`s topped with 21-fret rosewood fingerboard. 22-1/2" scale and die-cast tuners complete the picture. Peavey Marvel Rockmaster is the intermediate model of the electric guitars range. This one is a full-sized and full-scaled guitar with a solid, double cutaway body made of basswood. Bindings, pickguards and top woods are omitted from the specs list, for this is a budget model with $179.99 MSRP. Chrome-plated hardtail bridge comes with string-through construction. In front of it is Peavey humbucker, the only pickup on this guitar. Volume and tone knobs make up the controls unit. Maple neck is topped with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard. Peavey Marvel Predator is the top model of the entire series, as it features two humbuckers and 24-fret fingerboard. It is based upon already existing Peavey Predator Plus EXP and delivers a solid, double cutaway body made of basswood with no top woods or pickguards. Bridge section differs from the other two models, and it brings a tune-o-matic bridge with string-through construction. Peavey USA pickups are controlled with master volume, master tone and three-way toggle switch. Neck is made of maple and it comes with a bolted joint. Fingerboard is made of rosewood and it features 1.65" wide string nut. Graphics options include Captain America, Thor and Ghost Rider. Peavey Marvel 1/2 Guitar is series` only acoustic model and it is oriented towards the younger players with it`s 1/2-sized scale. Body is entirely made of basswood and it can be ordered with six different graphics: Thor, Wolverine, Spider-man, Iron Man, Hulk and Captain America. There are no electronics on this model, as Peavey and Marvel decided to go with fully acoustic approach on this one. Neck is made of hardwood and it`s topped with basswood fingerboard. 18 frets are covered with dot inlays. The MSRP for this model is set at $59.99.
