With no limitations regarding the tonewoods and hardware accessibility, new G6136T-LTD15 represents the current pinnacle of Gretsch craftsmanship and tone.
Gretsch is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, one of the biggest and most important makers of vintage guitars and basses. Their hollow and semi-hollow guitars are almost synonymous with rock and roll, rockabilly and British Invasion styles. In particular, Falcon models have soared above the rest of the catalog, as well as the rest of the competition to establish themselves as the embodiment of rock and roll music of the fifties and the sixties. Falcons are luxurious guitars made of the finest tonewoods and hardware available to Gretsch Guitars. Some of the staple features include all-maple bodies, Bigsby bridges and Filtertron pickups. The brand new G6136T-LTD15 Limited Edition Falcon follows the Falcon traditions keeps the game on a surreally high level. With a price tag of $4,949.00, Gretsch sends a clear message that G6136T-LTD15 is made for only the most dedicated among the fans of the majestic Gretsch Falcon.
Gretsch G6136T-LTD15 is a fully hollow single-cut clad in Metallic Red robe with crème binding, gold-plated hardware and gloss finish. A wide, maple-made body rocks a carved top, bound “f” holes and an engraved pickguard. It is paired with a set maple neck with a classic U profile in the back. Super comfortable back contour is matched with a 12”-radiused ebony fingerboard. 22 medium jumbo frets with thumbnail inlays and a 1-11/16” bone nut complete the fingerboard. High Sensitive Filtertron humbuckers (featured in both the bridge and neck positions), combined with the classic maple/ebony construction and the 1959 trestle bracing bring out that chiming Gretsch tone out of the spacious Falcon body.
