Limited Edition American Longboard Stratocaster HSS brings the sun, sea and sand of the Southern California`s beaches packed into a surfboard-inspired six-string.
Though the summer is gone and autumn rains dominate the landscape, Fender releases the sunniest member of the 10 for `15 series thus far. A Stratocaster inspired by the fifties` and sixties` surf culture of Southern Californian beaches is probably the most unique Strat released in past ten or so years. The October model is officially named Limited Edition American Longboard Stratocaster HSS and brings some of the finest and most versatile appointments seen in the series` lineup. As the rest of its series` mates, Longboard Strat is a limited edition made for the hard core Fender fans and collectors. The price tag is set at pretty decent $1,699 which means that it is in the range of the regular American Standard HSS Stratocaster. And now, without the further a due, let`s zoom in and inspect this beauty in greater detail.
Fender American Longboard Stratocaster HSS is a solid and double-cut guitar inspired by the classic surf boards of the mid-20th century. Five tonewoods which comprise the body are ash, mahogany, maple, rosewood and walnut. Maple neck with C profile in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. The electronics on this American Stratocaster are rear-mounted and come in the classic HSS configuration. Zebra-coiled Shawbucker in the bridge is accompanied by a pair of N3 Noiseless singles, a combo which promises truckloads of fun, great versatility and sustain on par with the strongest pickups out there. String-through hardtail bridge and sealed tuning machines make sure this sunny Strat stays in perfect tune no matter what.
