G and Limited are the magic wirds to unlock the treasure chest of Takamine novelties for 2012. Four Limiteds and seven G series models are coming up.

NAMM is the place where all the work and effort from the workshops and design centers gets crowned and celebrated. All that is worth showing is brought and shown. And, Takamine booth shone with splendor of brand new Limiteds and power of new G line guitars. Limited Series had a double lineup reinforcement, for along with the regular annual two Limiteds, special 50th Anniversary pair of models was unveiled. Namely: EG50TH Anniversary, T50TH Anniversary, 2012 Limited Edition and 2012C Limited Edition. G series raised the bar again for the entire budget-friendly segment of the industry with:EG430S-WR, EG536SHB, EG340DLX, EG355SC-TB, G406S-VS, EG755S and EG455SC.

Takamine EG50TH Anniversary  is the first G series Limited model in Takamine history and it is a pair of T series` 50 Anniversary model. It starts off with mahogany body and spruce top. Aesthetic enhancements include golden hardware and growing vines inlays on the fingerboard and pickguard. These inlays are one of a kind and will never be repeated on any Takamine guitar. Takamine T50TH Anniversary is a firework of luxury and style. Top shelf woods, Takamine electronics and the best quality hardware are used for this 50th anniversary celebration model. Growing vine inlays stretch from headstock overlay to the upper frets. Also, the black pickguard features the same-themed inlay. Takamine 2012 Limited Edition is one of two annual Limited models, and this year, black and dreadnought are keys to Limited suite. Rosewood body and solid spruce top guarantee for an unheard-of tone quality. Abalone binding, growing vine inalys on pickguard and rosewood fingerboard and gold-plated hardware make for  a fantastic contrast to glossy black color of the body, neck and headstock. Takamine 2012C Limited is a nylon stringed half of this year`s limited edition. Black paint, vine inlays and golden hardware appointments still apply. There is no pickguard, and the bridge has a classic shape. Tuning pegs are gold plated and have black buttons. This cutaway guitar features an ebony fingerboard, instead of the rosewood, Cooltube is present here as well. Takamine EG430S-WR is the first of seven novelties for G series in 2012, and it comes as a non-cutaway NEX model with seductive wine red paint job. Flamed maple back and sides are paired with solid cedar top and bound in white around the top. TP4T preamp and under-saddle piezo pickup form a standard combo in Takamine G series amplification. Takamine EG536SHB is a tribute to the golden age of acoustics and some of it`s most revered dreadnoughts. Non-cutaway shaped body is made of rosewood back & sides and solid spruce top with multiple layers of binding and elegant rosette. Gold plated hardware and piezo pickup & TP4T preamp wrap it up for this, possibly new classic in Takamine catalog. Takamine EG340DLX is the second of three dreadnought models unveiled for this year, and it is an elegant cutaway model made of flamed mahogany back and sides with a Bearclaw spruce top. Multiple abalone binding is complemented with abalone rosette, tortoise pickguard, abalone fingerboard inlays and gold-plated tuners. As all important things come in threes, so do G series dreadnoughts for 2012. EG355SC-TB is a translucent black cutaway dreadnought guitar made of quilted maple back & sides and solid spruce top. Elegant top binding and back center strip have company in shape of double abalone rosette and golden tuners. Takamine EG406S-VS is the only completely acoustic novelty for 2012 edition of Takamine catalog. This New Yorker kicks off with rosewood back and sides and solid spruce top. The back is made of two pieces of rosewood with quilted maple piece in between them. rosewood was the wood of choice for bridge and 20 fret fingerboard. Takamine EG755S is the only model placed within the OM series and it comes as non-cutaway guitar made of quilted maple back & sides with solid spruce top. Multi-ply top binding is complemented with the same back binding and back center strip. TP4T preamp and piezo pickup come as standard means of amplification and are manipulated through a compact shoulder-mounted control panel. Mahogany neck has a 20 fret rosewood fingerboard on it. This year`s list of new models from Takamine ends with EG455SC, a cutaway model from NEX series. Rich and elegant appearance of this model is equally complemented with rich and strong tone it produces from it`s jumbo-like body.
