Two models are being introduced into the Limited Edition series, celebrating fifty one years in business.
Takamine is one of the most important guitar brands from Japan and their focus is set on acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars. One of the main traits of Takamine design is constant improvement of both the materials and building quality. Improvement and reaching the top are the essential words for this year`s limited edition series models. Of course, inlay design is unique for both guitars introduced and it will never be duplicated. They represent the current peak, the current top of Takamine luthiers` skills and knowledge. Models introduced are named LTD2013 SE Peak and LTD2013 Peak. SE Peak model is more luxurious, featuring Hawaiian koa in it`s construction. Both guitars will be made in only fifty one copies for world-wide distribution, so the exclusivity is guaranteed.
Takamine LTD2013 SE Peak is a parlor-shaped guitar introduced into the luxurious Limited Edition series. It features "New Yorker" body with 24-4/5" scale and 12th fret dovetail neck joint. Back and sides are made of solid Hawaiian koa, while the top is made of solid Bearclaw spruce. Rosewood bridge is matched with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard. Fingerboard features "Climber" inlays, representing the peak Takamine reached in past fifty one years and a continuous striving towards excellence. Takamine LTD2013 Peak comes with a "New Yorker" parlor body with non-cutaway design. Scale length measures 24-4/5" in length and is pretty much an industry standard for this body type. Sapele is used for the back and sides of the body. Solid spruce is used for sound board. Electronics department is equipped with a Palathetic pickup and CT4B II preamp. Both the standard-shaped bridge and 20-fret fingerboard on this model are made of rosewood. Unique "Climber" inlays are also featured on this model.
