Takamine has introduced a pair of high-end acoustic-electric six-stringers with exquisite materials, tone quality and playability.
Takamine Guitars is one of the most prominent acoustic and acoustic-electric guitar brands out there on the market. Their catalog is completely dedicated to the production of acoustics with and without electronics. It is divided into two major categories, G Series with affordable six and four-stringers and Pro Series with high-end instruments. For the autumn of 2013, Takamine is gearing up with a pair of high-end acoustic-electric six-stringers: TLE-M1 situated in the Limited Edition series of the Pro segment and P5JC, a jumbo-sized guitar placed in the Pro Series 5. Both of these models feature Takamine`s electronics and top shelf materials.
Takamine TLE-M1 is an orchestra model with non-cutaway body and solid tonewood construction. Back and side of the body are made of Malaysian blackwood. They`re topped with a standard Sitka spruce sound board. Takamine installs flamed maple binding around the edges of the sound board. Bridge section is fit with a rosewood bridge with split bone saddle. Underneath it, there`s a palathetic pickup. Preamp is found on the side of the guitar and it features the standard set of controls. Mahogany neck is attached with a dovetail joint and it`s topped with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard. Takamine P5JC is a somgle-cut jumbo guitar with acoustic-electric construction and characteristic Takamine styling. Thishigh end six-stringer offers supreme tone and playability, along with elegance and grace Takamine guitars are known for. Body of this model is made of solid rosewood and solid cedar. Rosewood is featured on the back and sides, while the cedar occupies the top. Rosewood bridge is fit with a bone saddle and under-saddle pickup. It`s belonging preamp is found on the side of the body. 20-fret rosewood fingerboard is installed on top of the standard mahogany neck.
