Taylor 200 Series Updated

A pair of affordable acoustic-electric guitars with laminated koa back and sides are making their debut at 2013 NAMM show in Anaheim.

Taylor Guitars introduce a pair of super fine 200 series acoustic-electrics. Their names are 210ce-K and 214ce-K and they both feature laminated koa back and sides. Koa is usually saved for more exclusive and expensive series, such as special limited editions, custom shop guitars and high-end regular models. It is very seldom used for any of the intermediate and lower level guitars. Due to it`s tonal properties and availability, it has a high price on the market and is thus reserved for only the finest guitars. However, Taylor Guitars decided to treat their faithful fans with two reasonably priced guitars with laminated koa back and sides. Other than this, 210ce-K and 214ce-K are regular 200 series acoustic-electrics with standard materials and hardware features.

Taylor 210ce-K is a dreadnought guitar with single cutaway and Taylor electronics installed. It`s laminated koa back and sides are complemented with a solid spruce sound board on top. Creme binding, triple circle rosette and pickguard decorate the top. Ebony bridge with NuBone saddle is standard installment for the 200 series and it`s paired with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard. Electronics department features Taylor Expression System made for steel-stringed guitars. Die-cast tuners are made by Taylor and plated in chrome. Taylor 214ce-K is a grand auditorium model from the same series as the 210 model. It features the laminated koa back and sides and solid spruce top. Mostly, these two models sport the same specs, with the biggest difference being the body contour and size. Dread is slightly bigger than the auditorium, while the auditorium is more comfortable to play and it`s tone is balanced a bit more in favor of the mid range. Standard top decorations are featured on this model. Ebony is used for both the standard bridge and 20-fret fingerboard with diamond inlays. Neck on this model is made of sapele, which substitutes mahogany on affordable models. Die-cast tuners, 25-1/2" scale and gloss finish wrap the specs list.
