Taylor`s highly exclusive pairs of Builder`s Reserve VII and VIII are being introduced. Pair number seven features a guitar and ukulele and VIII comes as guitar/amp combo.

A big part of their status and success is made up of small series of limited edition models. For years now, Taylor`s catalog is refreshed with brand new set of limited edition models every spring and autumn. Huge success and reputation boost followed and follows Taylor due to these installments. Thus, in 2012, Taylor decided to expand the concept of micro-series of exclusive models. The new platform is called Builder`s Reserve Series. Currently, Taylor is promoting Builder`s Reserve Series VII and Builder`s Reserve Series VIII. All of the series come as pairs. Pairs are made up of a full-sized exclusive guitar and either a uke or an amp.
Taylor Builder`s Reserve Series VII pairs a guitar and matching ukulele. Main material of this series is mahogany and everything is centered around this marvelous wood. Both the guitar and ukulele have bodies made entirely of mahogany, both are non-cutaway models and guitar has Taylor`s Expression System electronics. Ebony bridges are installed on these models and are paired with ebony fingerboards, one of Taylor`s most recognizable wood combos. Fingerboard on the guitar has 18 frets and it`s attached to the body with a 12th fret dovetail joint. Uke fingerboard has 20 frets and it`s attached at the 14th fret. Taylor Builder`s Reserve Series VIII offers a guitar/amp combo. Guitar is made with single-cut GS body with acoustic-electric construction. Body is made of claro walnut back and sides with cedar sound board on top. Binding is rosewood, while the purfling is maple. Adirondack spruce is used for the bracing, which gives a unique voice to the cedar sound board. Ebony bridge is matched with ebony fingerboard. Electronics feature Taylor Expression system. Neck is made of mahogany, which is Taylor`s traditional installment. Ebony fingerboard features 20 frets and Nouveau Bouquet inlays.
