Fresh, short-scaled and infused with new materials, new GS Mini Mahogany is introduced for the fall of 2012.
Taylor Guitars is one of the most important brands of acoustic guitars in United States and in the World. A reputation gained and proved over decades and dozens of outstanding guitars. Taylor`s acoustic and acoustic-electric range is one of the most populous and versatile in the industry. For every player, there`s a Taylor is sort of an unofficial motto of Taylor and their fans. Besides numerous series and models of full-sized guitars Taylor offers special short-scaled guitars through dedicated series. One of these series is GS Mini, which is situated within the acoustic section of the catalog. This time Taylor introduces an update of this series named GS Mini Mahogany, a regular GS Mini with mahogany-made top panel. Since it is fully acoustic, Taylor put a modest price tag on it and set the MSRP at $678.
Taylor GS Mini Mahogany is a non-cutaway GS guitar with fully acoustic construction and 23-1/2" scale. This scaled-down GS comes with sapele and mahogany body. Sapele is laminated and used on the back and side panels, while the mahogany sits on top as the sound board. Top panel is equipped with black binding, tortoise shell pickguard and single circle rosette around the sound board. This body is paired with sapele-made neck, which is attached to the body with a 14t fret dovetail. On the other side, headstock is attached to the neck with a scarf joint. Die-cast tuners with chrome plating are installed on the headstock. Bridge is made of ebony and so is the 20-fret fingerboard.
