Four new guitars are unveiled by Schecter only a couple of weeks before the 2013 edition of winter NAMM Show later this month.
Schecter is one of the brands on the rise and their new models indicate that they`re rising really fast. This time, Schecter introduces four new updates for the 2013 edition of the catalog and in time for the 2013 NAMM Show. Exquisite Custom series is under the spotlights this time, for it received two gorgeous guitars, S-1 Custom III and Solo Custom III. S-1 is a double cut guitar reminiscent of the legendary SG and Solo Custom resembles the Les Paul. Other two updates are firmly rooted in Schecter`s metal section of the catalog. Omen Active 8 and Damien Platinum 8 are their names. Omen Active 8 is a budget friendly model with basswood body and basic set of specs, while the Damien Platinum 8 represents the intermediate option for Schecter.
Schecter Damien Platinum 8 has a sharp tone and smooth looks. It`s painted in black and equipped with chrome hardware. This 8-stringer features solid mahogany body with ultra access and platinum binding around the edges. Pickups are provided by EMG and both come from the highly acclaimed 808 series. Bridge is Schecter`s CTM with eight saddles and string-through construction. Neck on this model is made of three pieces of maple, it`s set and topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. Schecter S-1 Custom III is one super elegant double-cut from Schecter. It comes with a solid, flat body made of mahogany. There`s no top wood, nor Schecter installs binding on this model. Vintage White color pattern is finished in gloss and it`s matched with gold-plated hardware. Tune-o-matic bridge on this model is paired with a trapezoid tailpiece. Three Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro pickups are installed in the front. Three-piece mahogany neck is set and topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard. Schecter Omen Active 8 is the affordable eight-stringer from Schecter Guitars. It comes with a standard double-cut basswood body, characteristic for Omen series. Duncan Designed HB pickups are active and controlled with master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Hardtail bridge features satin black paint and string-through-body construction. Maple neck is bolted to the body and it`s topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. Schecter Solo Custom III is probably the most elegant and beautiful Solo ever made by Schecter. It comes with a solid mahogany body with carved top. Top is bound in nice creme binding and finished in high gloss. Bridge section of this model is the standard one, as it combines the tune-o-matic bridge with the stoptail bar. Three Seymour Duncan active humbuckers are installed in the front. Neck is made of mahogany, it`s set in and features ultra access cutaway. It`s topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
