Traveler Guitars might be seen only as viable alternatives for musicians on the road and people who like to play guitar next to the camp fire. As 2012 rolls in, new models are being introduced. In the bass department, a brand new short-scaled Ultra Light Bass takes the scene. In electric guitars portion of the catalog EG-1 Custom comes as a completely new model. Besides that, camouflage color option is added to Speedster palette and white to Speedster Hot Rod palette.
Traveler Ultra Light Bass is a brand new acoustic-electric model from Traveler Guitars. It features a shortened 30" scale with the overall length of the instrument being 33-3/4". Besides that, hard maple neck and body are paired with ebonized rosewood fingerboard which sports 22 medium frets. The amplification is done through an under-saddle shadow piezo pickup. Traveler EG-1 Custom is the second novelty reviewed in this article and a new flagship of the EG line. This travel guitar got a full custom treatment and is ready to take on the world with it`s sleek black paint, golden hardware, bridge humbucker and 21 jumbo sized frets on an ebonized rosewood fingerboard. The neck is made of mahogany and bolted to the body. Other features include: full-sized 24-3/4" scale, block inlays, chrome tuning machines with 14:1 gear ratio and 1.625" wide string nut.
