Breedlove and L.R. Baggs joined forces to come up with a line of guitars with the most natural tone when amplified. Breedlove`s top luthiers and L.R. Baggs top craftsmen were employed on the task.
Breedlove introduced the Voice series in attempt to offer the best tone reproduction possible for acoustic-electric guitars. It is a common issue that acoustic-electric guitars all of a sudden change their voice when amplified. In order to prevent this from happening to the voice series models, Breedlove teamed up with L.R. Baggs who created a special amplification combo named Anthem Tru Voice. It consists of a microphone and a pickup. The mic is in charge of mid and high tones, while the pickup kicks in to support the low end tones. The series consists of six models, three modern designed and three Revival guitars with vintage-styled design. Models included in this series are: Voice Concert, Voice Auditorium, Voice CM, Revival 000/SMe, Revival OM/SMe and Revival D/SMe.
Breedlove Voice Concert is the first of six models in the Voice series and it comes with a cutaway concert body made of myrtlewood back and sides with a solid spruce top. The top is flat and equipped with several layers of binding. The bridge is made of ebony and it comes with a modern Breedlove shape. Maple is the wood chosen for the bolt-on neck on this model. The fingerboard matches the bridge, as it is made of ebony. 20 frets, custom 12th fret inlay and 1-3/4" bone nut are featured on it. Electronics are supplied by L.R. Breedlove Voice Auditorium comes with an auditorium body with a cutaway. It is made of solid walnut back and sides with solid sitka spruce top. Multi-layer binding and an elegant rosette adorn the top. The bridge is, as it is the series standard, made of ebony and it sports a modern shape. Honduran mahogany is the material of choice for the bolted neck on this model. Ebony fingerboard comes with a standard set of 20 frets, custom 12th fret inlay and 1-3/4" bone nut. Breedlove Voice CM comes with an intricate CM shape and a cutaway. It`s body is made of East Indian rosewood back and sides with a solid spruce top. Multi-ply binding, gloss finish and elegant rosette wrap the top specs. In the electronics department CM features the same setup all models from the series have, the L.R. Baggs Anthem Tru Voice system. Neck is made of Honduran mahogany and it is bolted to the body at the 14th fret. Ebony fingerboard has 20 frets, custom 12th fret inlay and 1-3/4" bone nut. Breedlove Revival 000/SMe is the first of three Revival models in the Voice series. These models are styled after the prewar acoustic guitars. This base is complemented with ultra modern electronics from L.R. Baggs. Body of this model is 000 shaped guitar without a cutaway. It`s body is made of solid woods, East Indian rosewood in the back and sides with a sitka spruce top. Ebony bridge features a pyramid shape and black string pins. Honduran mahogany is chosen for the neck and it sports a bolt-on joint at the 12th fret. Ebony fingerboard comes with 20 frets, 12th fret inlay and 1-3/4" bone nut. Breedlove Revival OM/SMe is the second model with Revival label in the voice series. Revival is the sub-division created to accommodate the players who like vintage-styled guitars, as well as the comfort modern electronics give. OM/SMe is an orchestra shaped model with a non-cutaway body made of Honduran mahogany back and sides with sitka spruce top. Body woods on all Voice models are solid.
