Walden Guitars unveiled four new guitars and one color option at this year`s NAMM Show in Anaheim, Ca.
Walden Guitars come from Lilang, a small town in China near Langfang. Their efforts are solely concentrated on the production of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars, both steel and nylon-stringed. 2012 has brought four catalog updates for Walden guitars and one new color option. New models are all situated in the Steel String division of the catalog. CS550CE, CG570 and CO550 are placed within the 500 Series in Steel String Concorda line. Natura 700, also of Steel String division received G700CE. Concorda 500`s CG5&0CE got a new color option, the tobacco sunburst.
Walden CO550 is an orchestra sized guitar with no cutaways and no electronics. Mahogany back and sides are followed by a spruce top and mahogany neck. The top of the natural colored body is bound in black and adorned with a tortoise pickguard. bridge on this model is made of rosewood and equipped with belly shape, white string pins and fossalite saddle. Mahogany neck is attached to the body with a dovetail joint and topped with a rosewood fingerboard. 20 frets, dot inlays and 1-11/16" wide fossalite nut complete the specs. Walden CS550CE is a concert shaped acoustic-electric guitar with a Venetian lower cutaway. It is placed within the Concorda`s 500 series of steel-stringed gutiars. It starts off with a rosewood back and sides and solid spruce top. Black binding, tortoise shell pickguard and double circle rosette adorn the top. rosewood bridge has a standard belly shape, white string pins and fossalite saddle. Mahogany neck is attached with a dovetail joint and equipped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. dot position inlays and 1-11/16" fossalite nut complete the fingerboard. Walden CG570 comes as a non-cutaway grand auditorium guitar from the 500 series of steel string Concorda line. it is equipped with a body made of mahogany back and sides and cedar top. This body is paired with a mahogany neck through a dovetail joint at the 14th fret. Fingerboard is made of rosewood and features 20 frets with dot inlays and 1-11/16" wide fossalite string nut. Bridge on CG570 is also made of rosewood and equipped with white string pins and fossalite saddle. There are no electronics, this is a fully acoustic model. Walden G700CE is this year`s only update for Natura`s 700 series of steel-stringed guitars. It is a grand auditorium cutaway guitar with a body made of solid rosewood back and sides and solid spruce top. Ivoroid binding, tortoise pickguard and abalone rosette adorn the top. Belly shaped bridge is made of rosewood and features white string pins with fossalite saddle. Electronics on G700CE include an under-saddle pickup and B-Band T35 preamp with a side-mounted control panel. Mahogany neck features a dovetail joint and 20 fret rosewood fingerboard.
