Walden Guitars, China`s premier manufacturer of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars is gaining more and more fans with high quality of the guitars they produce. Mildly priced and made to compete with guitars of higher price class, Walden`s models are gaining much attention and trust on western markets. For 2013 Walden introduces a new concept for their catalog, a series of baritone-scaled acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars. Currently, the series features two models, B-1 and B-1E, but more models are expected in near future. These two models come with some of the finest material and appointments available from Walden, while still remaining in affordable section of the market. Basically, these two are the same, with only the electronics on B-1E making the difference. Other than that, their specs lists are identical.
Walden B-1 and Walden B-1E are grand auditorium guitars with non-cutaway bodies. Bodies of these two acoustic baritones are made of rosewood back and sides with spruce sound boards. Bracing on both models is also made of spruce. Black binding and satin finish grace the natural-colored top. Also, top panel features an offset sound hole. Bridge section is the same on both guitars and it features a regular rosewood bridge with bone saddle and black string pins. B-1 features no electronics, while on the other side B-1E is equipped with Fishman Prefix Pro system, which gives magnificent tone when plugged into an amp. Necks are made of mahogany, have C contour and are topped with 22-fret rosewood fingerboards. Gold hardware, 26-3/4" scales and down-tuned strings complete the specs list. Strings on both guitars are tuned to B, E, A, D, F#, B. For more info check B-1 and B-1E detail pages on our site or on Walden Guitars official web page.
