Rockbass, Pro Series and Alien Acoustic lines are refreshed with a multitude of brand new basses. Both regular series and signature lines are being expanded.
Warwick`s catalog is growing bigger every day. This time, it`s all about Chinese-made Rockbass, Korean Pro Series and Alien line of acoustic basses. Rockbass is updated with Corvette Basic Short Scale series, Corvette Basic Medium Scale series, Robert Trujillo Artist Series and Streamer NT series. Streamer LX line received metallic blue and metallic red color options. Pro Series updates include Streamer Stage I series and Steve Bailey Artist Series. Alien Bass has received updates in Rockbass Alien Deluxe Series and Warwick Alien Series.
The first among Rockbass series to be updated is Corvette Basic. It received short scale and medium scale models. Corvette Basic 4 Short Scale, Corvette Basic 4 Short Scale Left Handed and Corvette Basic 4 Short Scale Fretless all come 30-3/4" scales, solid double cutaway alder bodies and maple necks. Necks feature ekanga veneer strips and rosewood fingerboards with 24 frets. Exception is the fretless model with a tigerstripe ebony fingerboard. Each player has a choice between active or passive MEC pickups. Both combos come in J/J configurations. Warwick two-piece bridges are common to all models. Second update in Corvette Basic series is the addition of medium scale models. They are: Corvette Basic 4 Medium Scale, Corvette Basic 4 Medium Scale Left Handed and Corvette Basic 4 Medium Scale Fretless. 32" scale is a common feature for this group of models, as well as the majority of other features. Alder bodies are paired with maple necks through bolt-on joints. Rosewood is the material for fingerboards with the exception of the fretless model. Electronics options are the same as on the short scale models. Warwick hardware and 24 frets on fretted models complete the specs. The third series from Rockbass which is being introduced is Streamer NT I. Currently, it contains four models: Streamer NT 4, Streamer NT 4 Left Handed, Streamer NT 5 and Streamer NT 5 Left Handed. All feature solid, double cutaway carolena bodies with maple necks. Necks feature ekanga veneers, neck-through joints and rosewood fingerboards. 24 frets with no inlays are a standard and common feature for all of the models of the series. Four stringers feature Active MEC pickups with J/P configuration. Five-stringers have J/J layout of active MECs. 34" scales, Warwick tuners and bridges complete the specs lists. Rockbass also received it`s first signature series, it is Robert Trujillo Artist Line. There are two models, two right-handed and fretted basses: Robert Trujillo Artist Line 4 and Robert Trujillo Artist Line 5. They come with solid, double cutaway alder bodies matched with bolted maple necks with ekanga veneers. Upon these necks, rosewood fingerboards with 24 frets and custom 12th fret inlays are installed. Pickups are active EMGs in J/J configuration. Electronics are also active and provided by EMG. Korean Pro Series received two brand new series and the first of them is Streamer Stage I. It contains: Streamer Stage I 4, Streamer Stage I 4 Fretless, Streamer Stage I 5 and Streamer Stage I 5 Fretless. These basses start off with solid, double cutaway US cherry bodies in conjunction with maple necks. Ekanga veneers and through-body construction complete the necks. Rosewood for fretted and tigerstripe ebony for fretless models come as fingerboard materials. Fretted variants have standard 24 frets with no inlays. Pickups are active MEC on all variants. Four-stringers have J/P setup and five-stringers feature J/J combos. Steve Bailey Artist series in Pro Series catalog brings the largest number of novelties. It is a brand new series made up of following six models: Steve Bailey Artist Series 4, Steve Bailey Artist Series 4 Fretless, Steve Bailey Artist Series 5, Steve Bailey Artist Series 5 Fretless, Steve Bailey Artist Series 6 and Steve Bailey Artist Series 6 Fretless. These models come solid, double cutaway swamp ash bodies and bolted ovangkol necks. Pickup combos are active Seymour Duncan single coils in J/J configuration on all models, with five and six-stringers having chunkier soapbar pickup variants. All six models feature tigerstripe ebony fingerboards. Fretted versions have a standard set of 24 frets. 34" is the common scale length. These acoustic-electric basses come with jumbo shaped bodies made of laminated bubinga backs and sides with laminated spruce tops. These bodies are paired wit mahogany necks. Electronics consist of Fishman Prefix Plus T preamps with control panels and under-saddle piezo pickups. Fretted variant has 24-fret rosewood fingerboard, while the fretless features a tigerstripe ebony fingerboard. These models kick off with laminated ovangkol backs and sides and laminated spruce tops packed into attractive jumbo shapes with Florentine cutaways. Necks on these acoustic-electric six-stringers are made of mahogany and connected to the body with set joints. Fishman Prefix Plus T preamps and under-saddle piezos take care of amplification tasks. Fretted model has a 24-fret wenge fingerboard, while the fretless one features a standard tigerstripe ebony.
