However, like the rest of the "Made in China" range, Solos are designed, engineered, and controlled in the USA. 2018 Solo Jumbo Fretless Bass CE is the Solo series` only fretless bass. It comes with a single-cut jumbo body, a standard 34" scale, LR Baggs electronics (under-saddle pickup + soundhole controls), and the genuine Breedlove tone. Main construction features include laminated ovangkol back & sides, solid Western red cedar soundboard, and dovetail neck joint. Breedlove offers this one in Natural Gloss. Other notable features include a solid okume neck, a fretless ebony fingerboard, an ebony bridge, and closed-gear tuning machines.
