BC-16GTE is an acoustic-electric bass guitar from Martin Guitars. It is situated within the 16 Bass series and it comes with a single-cut body made of mahogany back and sides with spruce sound board on top. Beneath the top, there is a standard 16 series bracing pattern made of spruce. It gives stronger tone and better resonance to BC-16GTE. Also, under the sound board, electronics of this model are installed. The most prominent feature in this department is the side-mounted preamp with control sliders. On top, this four stringer is decorated with black binding, tortoise shell pickguard and multiple rosette. Bridge is made of rosewood and it sports the regular belly contour. 22-fret fingerboard is also made of rosewood. Set-in neck is made of hardwood.
