EG512C is an acoustic-electric bass guitar from the G series, bass section. It is made with single cut jumbo body and Takamine electronics. Body of this model is made of laminated mahogany back and side panels with spruce sound board on top. Mahogany and spruce are the most frequent partners on steel-stringed bodies, as spruce gives dynamics and liveliness to mahogany`s strength and low end. Top panel is bound in creme binding and equipped with a triple circle rosette around the sound board. In the electronics department, Takamine installs their own preamp, a budget-friendly TK40 is featured on the shoulder of EG512C. Bridge section features a standard rosewood-made belly bridge. 22-fret fingerboard is also made of rosewood. Tuning machines installed on the headstock are plated in chrome.
