GB72CE is the more expensive of two acoustic-electric basses introduced into the bass side of the Classical series in G segment of the Takamine catalog. It comes with a fully hollow and single-cut body made of flamed maple back and sides and spruce sound hole. This combination of tonewoods gives GB72CE a specific, very responsive tone with pronounced mids. Also, it`s bright and very snappy, able to cut through any acoustic mix. This model is made in two variants: Sunburst and Natural. Both versions feature gloss finish and gold-plated hardware. On the top, there is a standard rosewood bridge with a compensated saddle. TK-40B preamp is installed on the side of the body and it features the three-band equalizer, as well as a chromatic tuner. neck on this model is made of mahogany and it`s attached to the body via the dovetail joint. On it`s top, there is a 21-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. The MSRP for this model is set at $859.99.
