AB5K is currently the only available acoustic bass made by Washburn Guitars. It is a medium-scale (32") four-stringer, with combined laminated/solid construction, cutaway body, and simple but elegant styling. Price tags hover around the $300 mark for this model. ABK5 offers a single-cut body (quarter-sawn scalloped X bracing, Venetian cutaway), glued-in neck (15th fret dovetail joint, satin finish, 2-way truss rod), high-quality electronics (QPH preamp w/volume, phase, 4-band EQ, tuner), and Washburn hardware (die-cast tuners). There`s only one available color option - Natural (gloss finish, white binding around the body, single-circle rosette, chrome hardware). The body is made of laminated mahogany back & sides and solid spruce soundboard. The neck is made of solid mahogany, with the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top.
