Artist is one of four major acoustic guitar ranges of Alvarez catalog, along with Regent (the lowest one), Masterworks (located just above the Artist) and Yairi (hand-made guitars, made in Japan). AF60 is a member of the second-lowest tier of the Artist range (60) and one of the most affordable folk models made under the Artist banner (the MSRP is set at $499). Some of the main features include a flat-top, non-cutaway body, mahogany neck with 14th fret dovetail joint, the characteristic 24-13/16" scale, and stock hardware. The color palette`s limited to Shadowburst (w/gloss finish, abalone inlays, chrome-plated hardware). Other notable features include laminated mahogany back & sides, solid Sitka spruce top, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard (1.75" bone nut, custom 12th fret inlay), and rosewood bridge.
