The Artist series fills the intermediate class slot in Alvarez Guitars` catalog. It is sandwiched between the Regent (beginner class), and Masterworks series (upper intermediate/upper class). The roster of the Artist line is divided into four main sections - steel-strings, nylon-strings, acoustic basses, and ukuleles. The steel-string division offers a wide variety of dreads, jumbos, grand auditoriums, and parlors. AP70WE belongs to the parlor family; it is a non-cutaway model with acoustic-electric construction and elegant styling. Main features include walnut back & sides, solid A+ grade Sitka spruce top, traditional 12th fret neck joint, and LR Baggs electronics (StagePro EQ and Element pickup). Natural Gloss is the only available color option. Other important features include a solid mahogany neck, 18-fret rosewood/pau ferro fingerboard, pau ferro/rosewood bridge, and die-cast tuners.
