Yairi is traditionally the pinnacle of Alvarez`s acoustic and classical ranges. The models within this series are all hand-made in Kani City (Gifu Prefecture, Japan), in late master luthier Kazuo Yairi`s shop. All of them feature premium tonewoods and top-shelf hardware and electronics. CY70CE is the amplified variant of the series` basic classical guitar - CY70. The MSRP is set at $1,999 for the basic CY70CE, with Natural being the main (and the only) color scheme. CY70CE`s main features include a single-cut body (rosewood back/sides, AA Sitka spruce top, ivoroid binding, classical rosette), one-piece mahogany neck (12th fret joint, classical contour), 19-fret rosewood fingerboard (2.05" bone nut, 25-19/32" scale), FST2M bracing system, LR Baggs electronics, and gold-plated tuners.
