Yairi Standard series offers a little less exclusive and luxurious guitars than Alvarez Yairi line. Once again, dreadnoughts dominate the series and both acoustic and acoustic-electric variants are included. DY91 is a dreadnought guitar with steel strings and gold-plated hardware. It sports non-cutaway design and fully acoustic construction. Body of this dread is made of koa back and sides with spruce sound board. top panel is equipped with ivoroid and abalone binding combined, black plastic pickguard with characteristic shape and double circle rosette. Regular-shaped bridge installed on the top is made of ebony. Ebony is also a standard material for Yairi fingerboards. Fingerboard on this model is equipped with 20 frets, diamond inlays and 1-11/16" string nut. Neck is made of mahogany and it is attached to the body with a 14th fret dovetail joint.

All i can say is i just got a 2007 model amd is jist unbelievable how good this guitar is. I bought 54 guitars since January 1 of this year, everymake and model. There are only two that compare, my Martin D41 and Lowden O35. More so the Martin for sound and tone, but the Yairi has it all, deep bass, clear reaonant mids and highs, articulate note and chord clarity. And it is just beautiful with the inlays, Koa and attention to detail. If tou see one, jump at it, you wont be sorry, i just love it, oh and the electronics are also great.
