Yairi Alvarez guitars are hand-made in Japan and form a tier of their own, far above the standard three series. MDA66CE is one of only four dreadnought models available through the Masterworks series. It features a single-cut body (solid back, sides, top), a one-piece neck (14th fret neck joint, 25-1/2" scale), 21-fret fingerboard, LR Baggs electronics (StagePro EQ and Element pickup), and gold-plated hardware. The MSRP for the Shadowburst option is set at $1,149. Other notable features include all-mahogany body construction, mahogany neck, rosewood bridge, rosewood fingerboard, scalloped X bracing pattern, and die-cast tuners.
