Just like the Artist series` tier 70, Masterworks series` tier 70 features acoustic and acoustic-electric models made with rosewood back/sides and spruce tops. While the Artist models have solid tops, Masterworks models also have solid backs and sides. Design-wise, Artist and Masterworks 70s look almost identical, with Masterworks models lacking the pickguards Artists have. MDA70 is a fully acoustic dreadnought guitar made with a non-cutaway body (solid back, sides, top), a one-piece neck (25-1/2" scale, attached at the 14th fret), 21-fret fingerboard, gold-plated tuning machines, and forward-shifted scalloped X bracing system. The MSRP (for the Natural color option) is set at $1,149. Other notable features include a two-level rosewood bridge, double-circle abalone rosette, and paua abalone headstock inlay.
