All of the models are made by hand in Kani City, Japan (Gifu prefecture) while the regular Alvarez models mainly come from China. DY70CE belongs to the Yairi Standard series. It is a single-cut dreadnought with flat top, Venetian cutaway, 25-1/2" scale, LR Baggs electronics, and elegant Alvarez Yairi styling. The MSRP is set at $2,199. Main specs include rosewood back and sides, solid AA-grade Sitka spruce top (w/ivoroid binding, abalone inlays, black pickguard), a one-piece mahogany neck (like the rest of the Yairi steel-stringers), 20-fret rosewood fingerboard (1.73" bone nut, 25-1/2" scale, 12th fret inlay), rosewood bridge, gold-plated Gotoh tuners, and FST2M bracing.
