ECR-1 is a model from the Solitaire series made by Boulder Creek. This series offers dreadnought-shaped guitars with both steel and nylon-string construction. Sound holes on Solitaire models have been moved from the sound board to the side panel and are now facing the players. Boulder Creek luthiers have realized that players spend most of their time practicing and, basically, playing to themselves. Construction-wise, Solitaire series models have combined solid wood/laminated construction. Back and top panels are solid, while the sides are laminated. ECR1-N is a nylon-stringed dread with back and sides made of mahogany and top made of spruce. Top panel is bound in abalone binding and finished in high gloss. Fingerboard on this model is equipped with 20 frets with dot inlays.
