GD30CELH is one of five new lefties introduced into the Takamine G catalog for the fall and winter 2014. This is one of the most affordable acoustic-electric dreadnoughts out there and represents the perfect choice for the inexperienced players who want to get into the electric side of the acoustic guitar. It comes with a single-cut body (soft Venetian cutaway), set in neck and Takamine electronics. Back and sides of the body are made of mahogany (same as on the GD30LH), while the top is made of spruce. Beneath the spruce board, there is the standard quartersawn X bracing, while on it`s top, GD30CELH features a fixed rosewood bridge with a split synthetic bone saddle. Elecrtonics department is fit with a standard TP-4T preamp mounted onto the side of the body, facing the player. It gives this already great dread another dimension worthy of praise and respect. Neck is made of mahogany and it features the series standard contour in the back. On the other side, on top, there is a pretty much standard rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets, dot inlays and 1-11/16" wide synthetic string nut. Die-cast tuners and the 24-1/3" wrap the specs list.
