Cordoba is among the most important manufacturers of intermediate-level acoustic-electric guitars with nylon string construction. Their models come in all sizes and shapes, from the full-sized and full-length guitars, to small ukuleles and student classical guitars. Cordoba is expanding the catalog, introducing a new type of guitars into the catalog, the acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars with steel strings. Traditional design, styling and tonewood selection are still present in the new Acero series. D10-CE is the name of the new dreadnought acoustic-electric introduced for the early 2014. It comes with a single-cut dreadnought body made of rosewood back and sides and solid spruce sound board on the top. Body is 4" deep, and 19-3/4" long, which guarantees a strong tone, while not being too big and bulky. On the top, Cordoba installs a belly-shaped bridge made of rosewood. It has a standard TUSQ saddle. Beneath the bridge, there is a special Cordoba electronics system developed especially for the Acero series models. Neck on this model is attached to the body at the standard 14th fret and features the Spanish heel joint, instead of the standard dovetail used on the nylon-stringed models. On it`s top, there is a 20-fret fingerboard made of ebony. Gold-plated Grover tuners wrap the specs list for this one.
