Excel Acoustic Guitars Acoustic-Electric Guitars by D`Angelico Guitars
Excel 63 was inspired by the very last guitar that John D`Angelico ever built. It is a bold and loud archtop acoustic (actually, acoustic-electric), the only one (including Lexington dreadnought) in the Excel series without the cutaway. 63 comes only in right-hand variant. Natural Tint and Vintage Sunburst options, both with gold hardware, make up the color palette.
Excel 63 rocks a 17" wide and 3" deep body, which is made of laminated flame maple (back, sides) and solid spruce (soundboard). Maple-made neck and rosewood fingerboard complete the chassis and guarantee a bright, sonorous tone with strong projection and sustain.
Other notable features include a Stairstep tailpiece (combined with a fixed rosewood bridge), Skyscraper truss rod cover, Stairstep pickguard, piezo electronics system and Grover tuning machines.
