Dean`s Tennessee series of acoustic and acoustic-electric mandolins is among the most popular and most successful on the market. Its models account for a large share of market`s profits. For 2016, Dean has prepared only one model, the fantastic Tennessee A/E Magnetic & Piezo Mando. This is a hybrid mandolin which combines traditional design with modern electronics. Back and sides of the body are made of mahogany, while the carved top is made of spruce. The glued-in neck is also made of mahogany. It features a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Under-saddle piezo and neck-positioned single-coil magnetic pickup come in with a pair of standard control knobs, instead of a preamp. Rosewood bridge with a metal tailpiece and eight tuning machines guarantee super stable tuning. The price tag for this great mandolin is set at $249.
