Gibson models are exclusive and high end instruments, while the Epiphone models aim at beginners and players on a straining budget. Square shoulder series in both catalogs is filled with regular dreadnought guitars. Epiphone`s DR-500M features non-cutaway variant. Back and sides are made of mahogany and the top is made of spruce. White binding in combination with tortoise shell pickguard and gloss finish decorates the top. Bridge on this steel-stringed acoustic is made of rosewood. Neck is made of mahogany and it features a set-in joint. Rosewood is the material of choice for the 20-fret fingerboard. Die-cast tuners and 25-1/2" scale complete this model.
