FR-55 Resonator belongs to the Folk Series and it is a novelty for 2012. It was represented at the NAMM Show in Anaheim Ca. The Folk Series offers a broad range of mandolins, resonators and banjos for folk, country, western, bluegrass and many other musicians who utilize these instruments in their music. FR-55 Resonator comes with a non-cutaway body made of bell brass with nickel plating. The only color available is the polished gloss metal.The bridge is made of ebony with maple tip and features a trapezoid tailpiece. The cone is hand-spun and paired with two Fender-styled "f" holes. The top and back also feature carvings of Hawaiian scenery. This resonator features no electronics whatsoever. The neck is made of mahogany and features a rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard is equipped with 19 frets. The string nut is 1.69" wide and the scale is 24-4/5" long. The MSRP for this model is set at $999.99.
