Fender`s California series caused a revolution when it first appeared in the 1960s. It brought so much innovations, such as electric guitar necks, Stratocaster headstocks, compensated saddles and solid, electric guitar color options and many more. Today`s California models pay tribute to the pioneers from the hippy `60s. Kingman SCE is a dreadnought shaped acoustic-electric model with single cutaway construction. Back and sides of this model are made of laminated mahogany with a spruce top. Compensated bridge is made of rosewood. In the electronics department, Fender installs Fishman Presys pickup system with active on-board preamp and tuner. Set neck is made of maple and it comes with a standard C contour. Fingerboard is made of rosewood. 20 frets, block inlays and 1.62" synthetic bone nut complete the fingerboard.
