Malibu SCE is a folk-shaped guitar from Fender`s famous California series of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars. This series revolutionized the world of acoustic guitars back in 1960s when it introduced Stratocaster necks on it`s models and took solid colors from the electrics department. Today`s California models pay tribute to the originals. Malibu SCE is one of the best examples of the homage paid to the predecessors. It comes with laminated mahogany back and sides and spruce top. Bridge is made of rosewood and it features a compensated saddle. In the electronics section, Malibu features Fishman Presys pickup/preamp system with side-mounted controls. Maple neck is set and equipped with C contour. It is topped with a rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets, bloc position inlays and 1.62" wide synthetic bone nut.
