Square Shoulder series is in charge of dreadnought-shaped models in both the Gibson and Epiphone catalogs. Songwriter Special model belongs to this series and it sports a single cutaway design on it`s dreadnought shaped body. Back and side panels on this six-stringer are made of mahogany and the top is made of spruce. This model is available in black color and it comes with high gloss finish. Also, on this spruce top, a black plastic pickguard is featured. In the bridge section, Songwriter Special is equipped with a mustache shaped ebony bridge. L.R. Baggs provides the sensor/preamp system for this model. Mahogany made neck is equipped with a dovetail joint and it is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. 20 frets, custom tribal inlays and 1.72" wide synthetic bone nut complete the fingerboard specs.
