AD-3 is a part of Guild`s brand new Arcos series of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars. This series was introduced at the NAMM Show this January in Anaheim, Ca. Currently, there are three models available, and AD-3 is one of them. AD-3 comes as a non-cutaway dreadnought guitar. It`s body is made of laminated mahogany back and sides and solid spruce top. The back of this dreadnought is arched to give more comfort and better tone projection. The top is flat and bound with black binding. Black plastic pickguard and koa sound-hole rosette. The bridge is made of rosewood and features a classic belly shape with white plastic pins and bone saddle. String pins are colored white and have abalone dots. There are no pickups, mics or preamps on this dreadnought, it is a fully acoustic guitar. The neck is made of mahogany and meets the body at the steel-stringer standard 14th fret. The joint is a dovetail. The fingerboard complements the bridge, and is made of rosewood. It is equipped with 20 frets, white dot position inlays, 12" radius and 1-11/16" wide bone nut. 25-5/8" scale, Ping die-cast tuners and chrome plated hardware complete the specs. The MSRP for this model is set at $759.99.
