Guild uncovered a new series named Arcos at the NAMM Show in January 2012. Currently, the series consists of three models, one acoustic and two acoustic-electrics.AD-3 is a non-cutaway acoustic dreadnought, AD-3CE is a dreadnought cutaway acoustic-electric, and AO3-CE is an orchestra shaped acoustic-electric model with a cutaway. It`s body is made of laminated mahogany back and sides and solid spruce top. The back is arched for improved tonal response and increased comfort. The top is flat and bound in black. It features a black plastic pickguard and koa sound hole rosette. The bridge on this orchestra model is made of rosewood with a classic belly shape. Also, it has white plastic string pins in ivory color and bone saddle. In the electronics department, there is a Fishman Presys Plus under-saddle pickup with a preamp. The preamp has a side-mounted control panel with volume, tone and tuner. The neck is made of mahogany and equipped with a dovetail joint at the 14th fret. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and sports 20 frets with white dot position inlays, 1-11/16" bone nut and 12" radius. Other features include 25-1/2" scale, chrome hardware and Ping die-cast tuners. The MSRP for AO-3CE is set at $999.99.
