Goldtone is an American brand of folk steel-stringed instruments. Their focus is on mandolins, resonators and banjos. Known for the quality they deliver for the money paid, Gold tone enjoys a steady reputation of a solid manufacturer. Among many models, Goldtone catalog contains the PBR Deluxe resonator, which is the subject of this text. It comes with a standard-shaped body with glossy Tobacco Sunburst finish. Back and side panels are made of mahogany, while the top panel is made of maple. Top panel features a resonator cone with bridge installed upon it. This bridge is paired with a tailpiece, also mounted on the cone. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it comes with a dovetail joint.
