PF series is there for the players who want the professional level of quality of their instruments but are not able or willing to buy a custom shop/boutique guitar. Thus, the PF models have their chips on the performance side, foregoing the fancy looks and lavish inlays and binding. The new 2018 PF12MHCE is actually a revision/reissue of the previous PF12MHCE introduced several years earlier. The new PF12 is available only in Open Pore Natural (w/open pore finish, chrome-plated hardware, black plastics). Core construction features include an all-mahogany body (laminated mahogany back/sides/top, tortoise pickguard), a mahogany neck (series` standard profile, 14th fret joint), a 20-fret fingerboard made of laurel (1.65" nut, 25.5" scale, 9.85" radius), a fixed laurel bridge, Ibanez`s stock pickup/preamp combo, and open-gear tuners.
